KAMPALA, UGANDA

2025

It's an honored to be spending my 9th year living and serving in Kampala, Uganda. From the heart of the city to the surrounding rural communities, I’ll be traveling to connect with churches, train young leaders, visit primary schools, and host a variety of outreach programs.

This season will include meaningful visits with families, offering care and support wherever possible. From delivering Christmas hampers through our Gift Guide, to leading Kids Camps, mentoring families, supporting work projects, and launching new Safe House builds and expanding our vocational training courses—each initiative is an opportunity to bring hope, dignity, and practical help to those in need.

Bringing Clean Water to Rural Schools

We’re partnering with rural schools to improve access to clean water through rainwater harvesting systems. This sustainable, eco-friendly solution provides safe water to communities where rivers, wells, or taps are scarce or unreliable.

Access to clean water at school not only supports students’ health and hygiene but also keeps them in the classroom by improving conditions for learning, food preparation, and sanitation.

Volunteers will collaborate with local builders to construct rainwater collection tanks, while the surrounding community will contribute locally sourced materials such as bricks, stones, and sand. It’s a collective effort that brings long-term impact to both education and public health.

Equipping Youth Through Hospitality & Leadership Training

To empower school drop-outs with practical, employable skills, we’re launching the second year of our Hospitality & Leadership Vocational Program—a dynamic 3-month course designed to inspire growth, purpose, and opportunity.

Hosted at a local hotel in Kampala, this hands-on training equips students in key areas such as customer service, food service, and hotel operations. Leadership lessons are rooted in Gospel values, helping young participants develop strong character and vision for their future.

Through guest speakers, practical workshops, and exposure trips across the hospitality and tourism sector, students gain real-world insight and experience—opening doors to employment and greater independence.

Safe Homes for Vulnerable Families

We have the opportunity to provide safe, dignified housing for four more families in the coming years. Our Safe House Project serves carefully vetted families within our sponsorship community who are in urgent need of stable living conditions.

Each Safe House is built on secure land and includes a four-room brick home with a sturdy roof and enclosed compound. Designed for comfort and long-term sustainability, the home features an indoor shower area, a covered outdoor kitchen, and a rainwater collection tank to support daily needs.

This is more than just shelter—it’s a foundation for health, security, and hope.
