Sponsoring a child

It has been said that "sponsorship saves lives", and I get to see this first hand. These boys would not be able to attend school if it wasn't for the compassion and generosity of a sponsor who knows the value of education.

Ivan is 11 and Joseph is 9. They are brothers who are among the privileged ones to have a sponsor. Children are daily chased home from school to collect school fees before returning. Hence some never return.

I found Ivan washing cars and rearing chickens outside his home. He was working to raise money for his family, instead of playing and learning with the other children at school.

For $180 a child can go to school for a whole year. In some cases this also includes their uniform and lunchtime feeding as well!

I am not in Uganda to create a sponsorship program, but when the need arises, we want to do what we can to help!
